Jazz on a Wednesday night downstairs at Ryan's bar in funky Stoke Newington.

Jazz the way it used to be from the vinyl collection of retro dj Jeniffer Jackson. Relax on the comfy sofas and enjoy the sounds of some of the greatest names in jazz: Jimmy Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Jon Hendricks, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra and more.

The Jazz Department captures that laid back vibe of the 50's 60's basement jazz clubs of Soho, Paris, LA and New York. Music from a time when jazz WAS cool. With live music from stylish London based musician/singer Oliver Darling performing an entertaining boogie woogie and blues piano set. Known more as a blues guitarist this is rare opportunity to sample another side to this versatile musician.
