Beginner's Classes (Level 1) Our classes for beginners are designed to suit the needs of those who have never danced before, and also those returning to dancing after a period doing other things. We'll introduce you to several Ballroom and Latin American dances, learning some basic figures in each, and putting them together into short routines that you can use with confidence when you start to attend social dance events. We've carefully chosen the class content so that you can start to use your new dance skills straight away, but also, to lay good foundations for progression to an improver's class or private tuition. We carry over all the dance styles from the improver's classes, and continue to extend the range of dance figures taught, incorporating them in amalgamations suitable for social dancing. We also increase the focus on technique, style and floorcraft and give you every encouragement to dance socially. Content: Ballroom & Latin American dancing for intermediates (Level 4). Sound basic knowledge is required. Regular revision and practise in all the dance styles from Levels 2/3. Additional figures and amalgamations in each style, taken in rotation.
