Martin began his competitive dancing career aged nine and went on to win the 12/13 Junior British Championships in Blackpool.
As a ballroom tournament competitor aged 14, he reached the semi-final of the British National Junior Championship in 1996. Continuing his dancing at university, he enjoyed much success on the circuit.
Forming a partnership with Gemma Clunie and coached by Anne Watkins and Rita Carradus, the pair won the 2007 British Amateur Classical Sequence Championship...Venue: Banbury Academy
