Welcome to the launch of the Manchester Balboa Club!It's mission is to advocate for, promote & include as much Balboa exposure as possible within our local community.
What is Balboa..?
Well, Balboa was created on the crowded dancefloors of Southern California at the same time as Lindy Hop - THE original partner dance from the Big Band Swing Era.
** Lindy Hop is the dance that gave birth to 50's Rock n Roll & Modern Jive **
***Balboa can be danced to a much wider range of musical styles & the Manchester Balboa Club brings you Manchester's finest instructors & dancers EVERY THURSDAY from March 4th 2010***
MBC meets 8pm - 10.30pm, WE share Balboa moves with YOU & YOU GET dance time on one of the best floors in Manchester.
WE: will hold the MBC every week (barring dance-related international travel like this February!)
YOU: pay the membership of ONLY £15 per calendar month!!
INCLUDES: Admission to the club for the ENTIRE month, EXPOSURE to new moves, EXPERT advice & SOLO instruction EVERY week!!
PLUS access to one of the BEST collections of swing music around (Keith has been building his collection all his 11 years of dancing...)
Not to mention the refreshments!
