Camp Monarch: Music, Art & Dance Summer Camp

Camp Monarch is a day camp intended for children, ages 6 to 12, with a genuine interest in music, art, and dance. Students of all abilities are welcome. Our goal is to motivate children to achieve their true potential in music, art, and dance within a positive and encouraging environment.
Dance activities will include:

Understanding the why and how of "warming up", building strength, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and basic injury prevention;

Learning the basic building blocks and vocabulary of classical and contemporary ballet: feet and arm positions, exercises in coordination, technique, step and movement progressions;

Experiencing the elements of creative dance through games and exploration to develop confidence and originality;

Being involved in the creative process of choreography; and,

Discovering the various rhythms of dance through movement explorations to help students develop, appreciate and explore the relationship between music and dance. Phone Bookings: 604-723-8151. ►Further Information

RNB Dance & Theatre Arts Society has been teaching dance on the North Shore (Vancouver) for the past 17 years. Students are trained in proper dance techniques and are inspired to be creative and learn to be their best. Our focus is on growth, individual attention and personal and group achievement, as well as friends and family. Everyone involved can be proud of the school that we have created. RNB has three dance studios with ballet and/or tap floors, mirrors, ballet barres and a host of other amenities for the benefit of its students. We have an enormous array of costumes that are utilized by our students for our many presentations.
