Dance Event

Dances from the Carole Skinner

Sun 24 Oct - Wed 24 Nov 2010 14:00 - 16:00

RSCDS Toronto, Greater Toronto Area, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

You probably have heard of the popular autumn trips to Scotland led by Carole Skinner and Stewart Bennett. We can't all go (particularly because this year's trip is SOLD OUT) but you can experience some of the dances from Carole's new "trip" dance book. . . all dances devised by Carole, and each with an inspiration or reference to an incident or fellow traveller. At Broadlands, 2:00-4:pm.

Carole is a great teacher who truly enjoys teaching and dancing. Come out for this enjoyable afternoon.

Scottish dancing is enjoyed by people of all ages and from many cultures. There is no need to have Scottish ancestry. There is an expression that "The music tells you what to do." Jigs and reels are fast lively dances while elegant strathspeys and Scottish waltzes are slower. A partner is not needed as there is always someone to dance with. Classes are held Monday to Friday, with 4 Beginner classes and 25 Social Groups. Come on out and try this fun dance style.
