Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Flappers and Jingo-Berry Bugboys, fat old Mr. Claus is once again coming to town - and this time he's in spats. Beat out the carpets, rig up the mistletoe, wire your tailor for an ermine-edged red nightcap - it's The What What Club Christmas Party. Featuring our house swing band the Leviathan. Orchestra, cockney sparrows Eel & Toe and steamy cabaret acts, compéred by David Piper. Music type: Cabaret, 30s/40s swing.
A new 30s/40s night launching on Thursday
13th July, 2006. It's in the lavish environment of The Play Room at 10 Air
Street, Piccadilly, and there's going to be at least an hour and a
half of live 30s swing from a 7 piece band. We've also got a
barbershop quartet. It promises to be a sophisticated and vibrant
evening, a night to dress up for. It would be great to see lots of lindy-hopping
going on and it's a chance to dress up. Entry is £6 before 10.30 and £10 after.
