New Friday Entry Level Adult Class This class is for students who have never studied before or have very little experience in Flamenco. This class covers the fundamentals of hands, arms, and body movement, development of footwork, and basic “compas.” Castanets are introduced and played in this class for Sevillanas. Choreography taught is Sevillanas. Beginners II Beginners with more knowledge than New Beginners. These beginners know all 4 Sevillanas coplas. Flamenco technique, brazeo (arm work), taconeo (footwork), and “compas” with palmas (hand clapping). Emphasis on Sevillanas and other choreography. New choreography - Tangos. Beginners/Intermediate Flamenco technique, brazeo (arm work), taconeo (footwork) to different rhythms, and “compas” with palmas (hand clapping). Emphasis on Flamenco dance choreography and compas.
