At City Academy's Ballroom Boot Camp spend the first half of your day whirling around the studio with Standard Dances (Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep) and the second half of the day heating up the dance floor with Latin Dances (Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive).

Suitable for those new to ballroom looking to gain a solid foundation in both Standard and Latin styles, as well as dancers wanting to refine their repertoire.

Over the day you'll be able to take your pick from a full timetable of Standard and Latin workshops.

Here's a brief description of each style that will be taught:

Waltz: a graceful and elegant dance characterised by long, flowing movements and turns.

Foxtrot: a smooth progressive danced resembling the signature style of Fred Astaire.

Quickstep: light-hearted dance that is fast, powerfully flowing and sprinkled with syncopations.

Cha Cha: a lively and flirtatious dance full of passion and energy.

Rumba: a slow and romantic dance known as the dance of love.

Jive: a happy, boppy, energetic dance incorporating kicks, flicks and twirls. ►Further Information ►Book Online Now

Dance Event. Instruction (Novice, Beginner and Improver), Practice (Novice, Beginner and Improver) and Workshop for Mixed Social, Latin American and Ballroom Dancers. Event is 10:00-18:00. Admission £90.00.
