Sunshine Studios HDI Summer Camp "Sunshine Studios HDI Summer Camp HDI 2012 will be an experience of a lifetime. The UK's first Dance Residential Convention (with mirrors). Intensive Training and Social Aspects being a key factor of the week. The amazing thing about 'HDI' 2012 is not only the intensity of the training with incredible choreographers but being alongside like-minded dancers from across the UK and Europe networking , meeting new people and the social aspect that being on one huge site for one week with an amazing faculty of teachers 'HDI' is an advanced workshop intensive for those who want to be inspired and challenged. You will not learn how to dance count 1-2-3 - we will presume you already know that. Classes are of an Advanced level. 'HDI' is also about getting up-close-and-personal with everyone in the faculty. You can only sign up for the one full week course. If there is any space left, single classes will be sold before every class. Drop In Classes will be added outside of the regular schedule. The Drop-In schedule will not be official until July 1st .(If places are available) We recommend a fast registration as there is already a lot of hype after the success of last years workshops with choreographers including Candace Brown, Brian Puspos, Kyle Hanagami, Ian Eastwood and Quick Crew. Chris Corcoran began his career in Manchester on the club circuit as a solo performer, and quickly progressed into repertory and major touring theatre. He then moved into TV as a programme director, working on Hollyoaks, Brookside, Grange Hill and The Royal Today. He's seen 'The Business' from both sides of the audition table, and is passionate about passing on his vast knowledge and helping the new thrusting talent of his hometown and beyond. Run for and by working professionals with great industry contacts, and advice and support from Actor's Union, Equity, this course will help actors trying to break into the industry and those already established looking to enhance their skills. Chris says, "" Having been part of Show Business for over 35 years from cabaret, through leading roles in Musical Theatre, to directing for theatre and television, I feel I have a great deal of experience and technique to pass on to the next acting generation. Sunshine Studios Work Study Program A non-audition program for serious dancers in need of financial assistance with their intensive training. Work-Study participants are selected through an application and interview process. You must already be living in the area of the studio to apply for this program, and be a EU citizen. Once accepted into the program, Work-Study students are assigned a work schedule in various positions in the studio or on the cleaning staff in exchange for discounted classes/courses. For every hour of work in this program, the student earns a free/discounted class/course! Not only will gain training but also an insight into the industry and an opportunity to network with professionals in the industry. Pole dancing is now regarded as a recognized form of exercise and can be used as both an aerobic and anaerobic workout. Some also include tango and Argentine Tango in this list, although they differ from the rest in their style.
