			Bellydance Core Tribal Fusion Belly Course, Instruction at Complete Novice to Int/Advanced level. Doors open 00:00. Admission £65.00. This course will tackle our core tribal moves, developing, refining and where possible traveling. It will demonstrate that you can develop a move and take it to the next level, thinking outside the box. After drilling moves they will then be placed into combos showing the flow of one movement into another creating our dance which can be strong, powerful, mysterious and hypnotic. During this course we will also have some reading material and there will be time allocated for group discussion. This course can be taken alongside level 2. Classes run in six week blocks without break. You can pay for a six week block or just drop in each week.

We will work to create liquid arms and body, the appearance of “floating” across the floor, otherworldly locks and isolations. We will explore how to use space and time – unusual level changes, theatrical blocking and staging, eerie travelling steps. In addition to form, the importance of dramatic technique is emphasized – facial communication, striking pauses and dynamics, energy and power direction and intention. Down-a is about the guilt of the human soul. Difference and folly are acts of revolt in a homogenised, intolerant and repressive society. Each character is, in his own way, a distinct one soul entrapped in a guilty net. In the non-verbal performance Down-a, the senses become superior to the mind. The audience has to walk the tightrope between reality and madness and, in a flood of senses, is confronted with its deepest fears, emotions and obsessions. Down-a, down-a (vai giù, vai giù) is a refrain composed by an italian madrigalist. Down-a is part of the “Project Something in between”. The project has been ideated linked to the evocative history of the memory of psychiatric hospitals and the healing of the legacy of suffering and embarrassment associated to them.
