Composers to write Baroque dance music include Lully, Purcell and Handel. This annual summer school covers the technique, presentation and reconstruction of Baroque dance, and is open to all levels. It is an ideal opportunity for those new to Baroque dance to gain a thorough grounding in the basic skills, or for more experienced dancers to benefit from intensive in-depth study. The summer school consists of three self-contained modules each of which can be viewed as a short course. Those who do not wish to attend the full summer school may attend any one or two modules, or for just a weekend. The final day (bank holiday Monday) will finish with a period ball to celebrate the 21st year of the summer school. | ||
